The birds have really enjoyed the feast.
But they are starting to look pretty wilted, and only small deformed buds are blooming.
As much as I hate to, I think it’s time to take them out .
Since this is the first year I have ever grown sunflowers, I don’t really know what to do with them.
So I have a few question:
Do I cut them down and they will grow back?
Or do I need to take them out completely and start fresh again with new seed?
Can I grow another crop before winter, or is it too late to grow anymore this year?
hmmm…sounds like something to google (unless you know the answer).
It’s not only the birds that will miss these sunflowers.
There's a certain, unique beauty in something that's past its prime. You can see glimpses of what it once was, and what might be when the next generation takes its place.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely. I've always wanted to grow sunflowers, but never got around to it. Must change that!
