Washing dishes at El Jefe’s

Cheyenne was the first to post a picture and then I told this story on Facebook…

“I cannot believe that Chad took me to El Jefe’s and forgot his wallet!”

Then I went on to say:

“And Cheyenne was not happy that she had to wait tables…good thing she is an experienced waitress! The guys just sat back eating chips and salsa – and taking pictures.  I’m NEVER going with them again!”

I debated between that story or this one:

FAMILY SECRETS REVELED

We are enablers! We moonlight on the weekends as kitchen help to feed Chad’s addiction to EL Jefe’s.

Both of those stories sound just as fun as what really happened:

We were at the Awards Banquet for our racetrack, and it was just plain busy. Cheyenne and I had both offered to help the restaurant early on in the evening, and they took us up on it just before the awards ceremony started. We cleared some tables, Cheyenne took some orders and I went to the kitchen to wash dishes. I’ll have to say though…I had a blast. It was hard work and I was sweating like crazy, but I had a fun little washing companion who was showing me the proper way to wash. I learned a little about his business and he learned about ours. The owner said we did such a good job that she would call us to come in and help on busy nights!

In a pinch, Cheyenne and I make a good team!

By the way…the banquet was fun too! I think everyone had a good time. My hubby knows how to throw a good party!
